Garage Sale Permits

Garage Sale permits are *required to hold garage sales within the city limits of Burnet. A maximum of four permits can be issued in a single year to any one person or location, and are issued for two consecutive days only. Permits are valid for the date and location stated on the permit ONLY. At this time there is no charge for Garage Sale Permits.

Permits can be obtained at City Hall, 1001 Buchanan Drive, Suite 4 in Burnet. City Hall hours are from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. YOU MUST APPEAR IN PERSON TO OBTAIN YOUR PERMIT.

* Pursuant to an ordinance of the City of Burnet, Texas, regulating garage sales and requiring permits Chapter 86 of the Code of Ordinances.
