Purchasing & Contracting: Bidding with the City
Advertisements for Bid
Requests for Bids are posted in a newspaper of general circulation for a period of not less than 14 days prior to the bid deadline. This information is also available by clicking on the links below.
Pre-Bid Meetings
Pre-Bid meetings will be scheduled as required for the particular bid under consideration. Bidders requesting bid packets will be notified of any pre-bid meetings that are scheduled.
Changes to Bid Specifications
In the event the bid specifications change over the course of the bid period, bidders who have requested bid packets will be notified of the changes. Bid changes will also be posted on the web page.
Requests for Clarification
Requests for clarification must be received and responded to in writing to be considered binding. You can fax your request to Purchasing: (512) 756-8560.
Submitting Your Bid
Bids must BE RECEIVED by the date and time specified on the bid at the City of Burnet, Purchasing Office, 1001 Buchanan Drive, Suite #4, Burnet, TX 78611 or by mail at P.O. Box 1369, Burnet, TX 78611.
Sealed Bids must be enclosed in an opaque envelope with the bidders name, address and the date of the bid clearly marked on the envelope with the words "SEALED BID" on the face of the envelope. Bids sent by courier or mail must be enclosed in an outer envelope with the Sealed Bid inside. Bids received after the deadline will not be considered.
Rejecting Bids
Unless otherwise specified in the bid documents, the City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
