The Burnet Police Department is responsible for a coverage area through the City's Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (one mile outside the current City Limit). The City also maintains Mutual Aid Agreements with County, State and other local law enforcement agencies.

The administrative facility for police operations is located at 2000 S. Water Street, next to the Fire Department.

While the PD provides 24-hour service, the station does not provide 24-hour lobby service. The lobby is open from 8-5 p.m. Monday - Friday, except during the lunch hour.

For emergency police and fire assistance, dial 9-1-1 24-hours a day. For general information and assistance, call (512) 756-6404 or email police@cityofburnet.com.
