Holiday Leave
Full time employees are eligible for paid leave on City approved holidays. The following thirteen (13) days are recognized as City-paid holidays:

| President's Day | 3rd Monday in February |
| Good Friday | Friday before Easter* |
| * Easter is observed on the first Sunday that occurs after the first full moon on or after the 'vernal equinox', a Sunday between the dates of March 22 and April 2. |
| Memorial Day | Last Monday in May |
| Independence Day | July 4 |
| Labor Day | 1st Monday in September |
| National Patriot Day |
September 11 (emergency personnel only) |
| Columbus Day |
2nd Monday in October (non-emergency personnel only) |
| Veteran's Day | November 11 |
| Thanksgiving Day | 4th Thursday in November |

* For any holiday that falls on a Saturday, the Friday before will be the paid holiday, and for holidays that fall on a Sunday, the following Monday will be the paid holiday.
