Police Department Citizen Advisory Board

The Burnet Police Department is committed to the community policing philosophy.  To enhance and foster the relationships we have established in the community we are excited to announce the formation of the Burnet Police Citizen Advisory Panel. 

The panel will be comprised of 8 to 10 members of the Burnet community who represent a cross-section of our population.    The panel will serve in an advisory role to the Chief and the department in areas such as policy, policing strategies, and priorities.  Residents of Burnet, or business owners who operate in Burnet are eligible to serve on the panel. The panel will be interacting with officers from the department during the meetings as they learn about police operations and provide feedback on how we can more effectively police our community in line with our community values. This is an exciting time for the department in taking this step and we hope everyone will consider joining us as we work together to maintain a safe community in Burnet.
