Welcome to the City of Burnet web site. Whether you are a long time resident, a newcomer or just passing through, we invite you to browse our site for information about the city and your city government.

The Burnet Police, Fire and EMS invites the public out to meet local law enforcement and each other at the 2015 National Night Out.  The event will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Thursday, October 6.  "Come and enjoy the fun, meet your police, fire and  EMS departments, enjoy free food and drinks, kid's safety identification kits, finger painting, safety education items and much more".  Click here for a flyer on the event. 



A benefit BBQ will be held at Wallace Riddell Park, Saturday, October 3rd to raise funds for the Daniel Hampton family and Tim Pierce.  The event will begin at noon and will continue until 6 pm.  Hot dog and hamburgers with all the fixins' will be sold for $5 per plate. A silent auction will be included as well as activities for the kids.  Wallace Riddell Park is located on Highway 29 East. 


Daniel Hampton was a firefighter/EMT who lost his life in the line of duty.  Timothy Pierce was also injured and remains hospitalized.


Donations should be made out to the Hill Country 100 Club with a notation in the memo portion of the check of whom the donation should be slated for ie: Hampton or Pierce family or both.



Donations to the Hampton and Pierce families should be made to the Hill Country 100 Club

Checks should be made out to Hill Country 100 Club but noted in the memo section who the donation is intended for.  Otherwise donations will be put in the General Fund.  Click here for more information.
