Development Services Overview
Development services operates with the intent of providing stable and healthy growth within the city limits of Burnet, Texas. Our goal is to encourage productive development while protecting the rich, hill country history that has allowed the city to thrive.
The department assists policy makers, property owners, developers, and citizens in regard to zoning and development. We also provide information to the public regarding census and demographic statistics, development trends and impacts.
Development Services staff provides support to the Planning and Zoning Commission as well as the City Council. Information on both of these groups, future meetings, public hearings, and agendas can be found on this page. The Planning Department provides many services including zoning and development review and comprehensive and long-range planning.
