ADVERTISEMENT FOR COMPETITIVE SEALED BIDS

Sealed competitive proposals addressed to City of Burnet, TX will be received at City Offices, 1001 Buchanan Dr, Suite 4, Burnet TX until 11:00 A.M., November 2, 2023, for the Burnet Municipal Airport Box Hangar and Associated Improvements Project. Sealed proposals will be opened publicly and read aloud shortly thereafter on the same date in the place and address of bid opening. A mandatory PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the place and address of bid opening. Copies of the bidding documents, meeting instructions and links will be available on City’s webpage under ID: CIPSP-2022D. Scanned plans and specifications (PDF format) are available on CD for a non-refundable price of $25 from KSA Engineers, Inc., 4833 Spicewood Springs Road, Suite 204, Austin, Texas 78759, telephone 512-342-6868.  Printed copies of the Contract Documents may also be viewed at the Engineer’s office. RFI deadline is 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 31, 2023 through www.civcastusa.com in the Q&A portal.

Project to include: The construction of a new box hangar approximately 120 ft wide by 100 ft deep. The scope of improvements includes a flexible pavement apron in front of the hangar, approximately 120 ft by 200 ft in area, drainage, and detention improvements for positive storm water flow away from the hangar building, and a new electric service.

Project will require a 5% bid bond at bid opening, and other bonds from the winning bidder after award. Time of completion shall be 330 calendar days including Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays.
