Fireworks
The City of Burnet prohibits the sale or use of fireworks within its limits.
The Fire Marshal's Office conducts fireworks stand inspections for those stands located in their Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ). This is an area within one mile of the city limits of Burnet, Texas. If you are unsure if your stand can be located on a certain property or for other information on fireworks, please call us at area code (512) 756-2662 Ext. 1, Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM.
Use of fireworks inside the city limits is a Class C misdemeanor subject to fines not less than $500 nor more than $2,000 and remaining fireworks will be confiscated and destroyed. To find out about organized fireworks shows in your area, contact your local Chamber of Commerce.
